Mechanical Design Engineer (Fixed Term)

We are seeking a creative and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer for a 14-month fixed term contract that is not afraid to think outside the box, to join our Engineering team at ETEL Power Solutions and be responsible for:

• Collaborating with the team in the project of standardising kiosk transformer substation designs.
• Producing quality drawings for customers, production and external suppliers in an efficient and cost-effective way.
• Assisting with mechanical design procedures and processes.
• Building and maintaining the mechanical design and engineering tools, systems and processes.
• Supporting Production and external suppliers to resolve design or manufacturing issues, inspect workmanship, provide suggestions and ideas to continuously improve new and existing products.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of three years of experience as a Design Engineer and/or Mechanical Engineer, preferably in manufacturing
• 3D Modelling / 2D Drawing experience in Solidworks
• Experience with Design automation, Product Data Management and ERP systems highly regarded
