Ware Malcomb has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Branding team!
Project Managers are responsible for the successful management of multiple environmental graphic design projects. Project Managers achieve repeat clients through great customer service, communication and coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of project(s), start to finish, as the project leader. Be the key contact with the client, their consultants and representatives.
- Determine project goals, prepare project schedules and manage project budget. Continuously monitor project progress, communicate timelines regularly, identify any risks to the design and schedule, and develop contingency plans to keep projects on track.
- Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate each phase of a project to deliver documents and work product. Utilize the Studio's resources for design and bid documents. Coordinate cross-functional architecture, interior architecture and civil engineering team collaboration and identify critical path activities.
- Responsible for local, county, state and federal code research and analysis for each project including City/Town Municipal/Zoning code and processing requirements related to signage. Must be capable of reading and understanding architectural drawings, shop drawings, as well as building and ADA code requirements.
- Collaborate with design team to provide technical support and ensure design objectives align with project goals and client requirements. Conduct regular design reviews to confirm progress, quality, and code/regulation compliance.
- Coordinate various trades to achieve complete, coordinated drawings/work product and specifications. When needed, assemble consultant team for the project (identify scope of work, collect fees, select consultants and facilitate contracts).
- Direct and/or coordinate City Planning and/or other jurisdiction submittals. Represent WM at required jurisdiction public design review or development approval meetings and make project presentations when required.
- Lead implementation coordination services including site visits, bid review, cost comparison, shop drawing review, submittals, etc. Familiarity with signage fabrication, installation techniques, materials and construction specifications are required.
- Responsible for project work planning, resource planning, financial forecasting and overall project financial success. Prepare project work plans and budget reports. Review project budget reports, pre-billing reports, invoices and accounts receivables monthly.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' of experience within the field of branding or environmental graphic design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD tools, AutoCAD, and Revit a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Public speaking ability to small to large groups
