Job Summary
The manufacturing industrial Automation Engineer position will research best practices and related technology for automating machining processes, identify automation projects aimed at manufacturing labor reduction, complete business proposals including costs, return, and timing for automation projects and support operations and maintenance with automation troubleshooting. Understanding of machining processes and identification of automation opportunities, collaboration with others, including vendors, on automation solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree engineering or related field preferred. Critical technical thinking and associated experience will be considered in lieu of formal automation related education.
Manufacturing industrial controls knowledge & experience with automaton projects.
Preferred experience related to CNC machining.
3-5 years engineering industrial automation experience.
Knowledge with ladder logic programming required (Allen Bradly, etc.). HMI's, motion controls systems, and robot programming.
Experience leading projects with automation related vendors required.
