We’re looking for a passionate, experienced governmental affairs liaison to serve as the leader of Congressional outreach. You’ll lead all legislative affairs strategy across the business in coordination with key internal stakeholders.  

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop and execute a legislative strategy that includes key stakeholder outreach efforts, legislative advocacy campaigns, monitoring of appropriation requests/deadlines, and sustained engagement with Congressional champions.    
  • Coordinate Exiger efforts to develop language for inclusion across various appropriations bills.
  • Build support with key members of Congress, as needed, to pass reform language.
  • Provide briefings to legislators and their staffers on Exiger technology and the importance of supply chain resilience and risk mitigation.
  • Work in partnership with business counterparts to shape outreach engagements.
  • Identify key legislation relevant to Exiger and present the effects of these policies to the business.
  • Generate language for collateral materials for Hill engagements.
  • Serve as an advisor on legislative and public-sector matters, providing insights on strategic decisions and their impact.
  • Work with Exiger’s lobbying firms and not for profit partners to enact the overall Exiger legislative strategy.
  • Lead presentations to the Board, executive leadership team, and relevant stakeholders to build consensus.

What You Need: 

  • U.S. citizenship
  • 15+ years of experience in federal government affairs, public policy management, coalition building, and/or government service.
  • Political and legislative acumen with comprehensive knowledge of the legislative process.
  • Past success advocating for key language/items in the National Defense Authorization Act and other appropriations.
  • Strong network with key Congressional stakeholders.
  • Executive presence and ability to maintain a sense of urgency, efficiency, and flexibility.
  • Willingness to travel, estimated at up to 25-30% of the time, as needed.
