• Drive the 3 levers of cloud FinOps, Operate, Inform and Optimize within the organization
• Provides oversight of the cloud FinOps function to support the business units with cloud initiatives, ensuring alignment to business goals and key objectives
• Enables business leaders to make sound business decisions with increased visibility into the cost of cloud workloads, resulting in greater accuracy in tracking spend against budgets
• Monitors and audits cloud resources to improve operational cost efficiency
• Builds and integrates data analytics for cloud financial modeling and reporting
• Cloud Cost Optimization: Analyze and improve cloud resource utilization to minimize waste while maintaining optimal performance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with finance teams to create budgets, financial models, and accurate cloud expenditure forecasts.
• Cloud Billing Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of cloud billing data across various account to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Cost Allocation & Chargeback: Implement tagging strategies and cost allocation models to support interdepartmental chargebacks.
• Cloud Vendor Management: Negotiate with cloud providers to secure optimal pricing and discounts.
• FinOps Governance: Develop and enforce policies and governance frameworks for cost transparency and control.
• Cost Reporting & Dashboards: Create real-time reporting tools and dashboards for cloud spending insights
• Training & Evangelism: Educate teams on cloud cost management and optimization best practices.
• Audits & Compliance: Regularly audit cloud accounts for proper resource allocation and cost accuracy.
• Analytics Tools: Use cloud cost management tools to meet operational requirements.
• Automation: Streamline FinOps monitoring using cloud automation tools.

• A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, computer science, or another related field preferred or equivalent work experience. 
• 5+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Engineering and Cloud financial management
• 3+ years of experience in managing AWS environment and financial controls
• Financial Background: Strong grasp of financial accounting principles related to cloud computing.
• A background in healthcare and healthcare technology is highly preferred 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services like AWS Cloudwatch
• Preferred - FinOps certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner).
• Preferred- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Solutions Architect)
• Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), but preferably AWS.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
