Role Purpose
Over the last 20 years Universally Speaking has built a reputation as a trusted partner in supporting studios to make some of the world’s greatest games and applications.

You will be a managing multiple high performing test teams on the latest unreleased titles, providing direction, strategy, and oversight for your team.
You’ll have a passion to get things right, excellent attention to detail, a thorough approach, and you’re open to learning new skills and working across departments with multiple colleagues to meet challenging deadlines.
As a receptionist, you’re the key contact for many of our world class clients, expected to be knowledgeable, pragmatic, and approachable at all times. You are responsible for making sure we deliver on time, and to the highest possible standards.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 11:30pm, with overtime as needed and to cover off hours depending on business requirements ad hoc.
Location
To work in our facilities located in Liverpool City Centre, Renshaw Street.
Reporting to the General Manager, the receptionist role will meet the following criteria:
- Role-model the Universally Speaking Values and Behaviours treating employees, Individuals and Customers with dignity and respect at all times.
- Working with the General Manager, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day activities, external service providers and contractors including the cleaning service and to use this network to proactively manage maintenance requirements.
- Develop and maintain close working relations with onsite managers to ensure quick resolution of issues to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors such as keeping areas clean and tidy and operating the dishwasher daily.
- Ensure visitors, guests and VIP have refreshments and all client meetings are catered for individually.
- Managing, distributing, and collecting security assets such as ID cards, building fobs and locker keys. Keeping track of these across the site for all employees.
- Managing the absences for employees, recording absence and reporting the absences to the operational team daily.
- Working with the General Manager, organise fire training, drill practice and first aid requirements for the studio, to ensure all employees are fully conversant with procedures and that health and safety and environmental issues are managed correctly.
- Working with the General Manager on purchasing, tracking and maintaining office inventory levels to support the Liverpool teams as well as supporting the General Manager with calculating monthly expenses.
- Ensure security requirements are met by ensuring reception desk is manned, all visitors have signed in and have NDA and main telephone line is always covered during business hours.
- Flexible to work Universally Speaking operational hours between the hours of 15:30-23:30 with overtime as needed and to cover of hours depending on the shift where business requirements require.

- Previous experience in a reception or facilities type role
- Available to do overtime, or cover other shift patterns
- Some administrative background and eager to learn new things
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs and a level of comfort around technology.
