Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critic and player acclaim. Since then, four more titles, including FPS-success Valorant, have been added, with more in development. 

As the Publishing Content Strategist III for Wild Rift, you will drive comms, community, social, influencer and content efforts across our broader game ecosystem. In partnership with games and publishing leadership, this role will develop, deliver, and manage all communications of the player experience including both high level strategy and day to day campaign tactics. In true “Editor in Chief” fashion, you are responsible not just for what we’re saying, but how, when, and why we’re saying it.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive community and player communication strategies, balancing immediate campaign needs with enduring engagement objectives.
  • Coordinate globally resonant content by collaborating closely with Riot's international community teams, guiding localization efforts, and addressing global concerns.
  • Support the Wild Rift product team with innovative player-facing communication to  ensure an engaging dialogue with our players.
  • Advocate for player needs and expectations within product teams throughout development and launch phases, facilitating a player-focused game evolution.
  • Develop and lead a global influencer strategy, harmonizing efforts across regions to bolster Wild Rift’s global presence and community engagement.
  • Provide essential insights into player feedback for product development and content strategies.
  • Partner with stakeholders across player communications, community, influencer, and social across the game ecosystem/experience to ensure we have a clear player journey, clear takeaways, and clear narrative for players month over month and day to day
  • Define and/or align all player facing content with key player experience and business outcomes
  • Define strategic opportunity spaces for dev-to-player communications
  • Identify strategic opportunity spaces to create content or highlight community content

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in product content strategy, communications, or community management
  • 5-7+ years experience with gaming audiences, especially in the mobile games space
  • Intimate knowledge of the global games landscape, innovations, trends, and ever-evolving player expectations
  • Well-versed in leading cross-disciplinary teams and able to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator- verbal and written
  • Deep experience creating and communicating communications strategies that span across multiple platforms and delivery channels

  • Awareness of & interest in the esports & gaming space as a rising cultural force
  • Experience across mobile games platform
  • Citizen of the internet - you’re an autodidact and create time to understand what conversations are happening and how we can engage on behalf of our audience
