Responsibilities: 

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our support team to respond to and resolve incidents reported by our customers in a timely manner.   
Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are responsible for keeping all user-facing services and other AXON-Networks production systems running smoothly. SREs are a blend of pragmatic operators and software craftspeople that apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environments and the AXON-Networks codebase. 
SREs specialize in systems (operating systems, storage subsystems, networking), while implementing best practices for availability, reliability, monitoring, scalability, and alerting with varied interests in distributed systems. Ultimately, you will work with our customers, DevOps, IT and Engineering teams to ensure our organization can continue to resolve reported incidents and meet our SLA.   

• Be on an on-call rotation to respond to incidents that impact AXON-Networks availability  
• Use your on-call shift to prevent incidents from ever happening 
• Work with the DevOps team to build monitoring that alerts on outages 
• Transform your monitoring to alert on symptoms rather than on outages 
• Document every action so your findings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation.  
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance 
• Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity 
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale environment 
• Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team ("technical debt"), propose and implement solutions.  
• Collaborate with the team on larger projects.  
• Be open to learn about customer premises equipment (CPE) and AXON’s other products and support them 
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, third party vendors and customers 

 

Requirements:

Annual salary range: $110,000 - $140,000
