SUMMARY
The Lead High School Pastor, under the oversight of the Lead Student Pastor, will lead, shepherd, and collaborate with the High School Team to be the primary shepherd of leaders, students, and families within the High School Ministry. The Lead High School Pastor will develop and guide the spiritual growth of high school students. This will be accomplished through investing in leaders who live out the ministry vision to reach the church body and the community for purposes of learning from Christ, living in Christ and leading others to Christ.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
- Lead, shepherd, and collaborate with the High School Team under the direction of the Lead Student Pastor to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
- As a part of the overall Reservoir staff team, participates in campus-wide ministry events and the shepherding of our Reservoir faith family.
- Basic personal responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.
- Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
- Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
- Maintain active participation in community.
- Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and collaborate with the High School Team, under the leadership of the Lead Student Pastor to:
- Collaborate with multi-campus Student Ministry staff and the One Church Next Gen Team to create and implement a Biblical strategy for reaching students, leaders, and families.
- Creatively plan and promote events and opportunities for student engagement and discipleship – including catalytic experiences like retreats and summer camp.
- Be a part of the "teaching team" and planning process for student gatherings/events that creatively impact students with solid Biblical truth.
- Work weekly with the Next Gen worship staff and other student staff in planning, organizing, and leading weekly gatherings.
- Recruit, assimilate, equip, and encourage small group leaders to have successful disciple-making moments, interactive small groups, and a good understanding of the overall purposes/plan of the ministry.
- Encourage and equip parents for the sake of discipling their students.
- Support the assimilation of high school students and their families into the life of the church.
- Develop relationships with the administrators, students, and teachers in local elementary and middle schools.
- Facilitate in-school visits, attending extra-curricular functions, and serve as a resource to the schools.
- Disciple high school students to encourage them to be ministers of the gospel within their schools and homes and equip them with practical and actionable ways to be multiplying disciples in the community.
- Engage students in local, national, and international mission experiences, in collaboration with the One Church Missions Team and the One Church Next Gen team.
- Provide oversight for and leadership to Pinelake’s Our House Promise strategy, while also ensuring compliance with Our House Promise safety policies within High School Ministry.
- Assist in managing and stewarding the budget for High School Ministry under the oversight of the Lead Student Pastor and Director of Ministry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises exempt and non-exempt personnel.
- Supervises and coordinates work with servant-leaders.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include working with the Campus Leadership and One Church Team to interview, hire, and evaluate performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and administering payroll, vacation/paid time off and other personnel procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree minimum. Five or more years of experience working with students and families preferred.
